Jim Ross Wants To See Will Ospreay In AEW

Is that door still propped open?

Could "The Forbidden Door" remain open long enough for the reigning IWGP World Heavyweight champion to step through? AEW announcer Jim Ross hopes so.

While praising Ospreay on a recent edition of Grilling JR, Ross expressed his desire to see Ospreay in an AEW ring sometime down the line.

“I think Will Ospreay is a great talent," Ross said. "Is he the greatest ever? I don’t know if he’s the greatest New Japan Pro Wrestling champion. It’s hard to say that he’s better than Tanahashi. It’s hard to say that he’s better than Okada or the list of other luminaires who’ve held that title. But I do think he’s very, very good. It might be a little early, a week after his win to consider him the greatest ever. But if he can make it to that level, more power to him. I wish he’d wrestle in AEW, he’d go great here.”

New Japan has shared some talents with American promotions in recent months, as evidenced by KENTA's appearances on Dynamite this past winter, and Juice Robinson and David Finlay's reign as Impact Tag Team champions.
