Jimmy Smith has taken to social media to comment on his first night as the play-by-play announcer on WWE Monday Night Raw.
Smith made his debut in the Raw commentary booth on the May 31 episode of the red brand, working alongside Corey Graves and Byron Saxton to provide analysis on the action in the ring.
The former UFC and MMA Bellator announcer replaced Adnan Virk on Raw, who departed the promotion last week after just 43 days in the role, and has now taken to Twitter to comment on his first appearance in the role for WWE.
He wrote: "Had a blast at #WWERaw tonight! Amazing match between @DMcIntyreWWE and @TrueKofi! Tried my best to give it the energy it deserved."
Smith, who has previously appeared for WWE as a special analyst for NXT on pre-show events, largely impressed on his maiden appearance as the play-by-play announcer on Monday Night Raw.
The show saw Drew McIntyre defeat Kofi Kingston in the main event, as referenced by Smith, to secure a WWE Championship match against Bobby Lashley at Hell In A Cell later this month.
