Lance Archer Open To NJPW Return
Could The Murderhawk Monster rejoin Suzuki-gun?

With the ‘Forbidden Door’ ripped off of its hinges and turned into sawdust, the possibility for cross promotion between AEW, NJPW, and IMPACT Wrestling seems almost limitless.
Just this Sunday at AEW Double or Nothing we saw NJPW’s Lio Rush turn up for the Casino Battle Royale, whilst IMPACT’s Gallows and Anderson made their presence elsewhere in the show. Now, AEW’s Lance Archer has thrown his hat into the ring, telling Wrestletalk that he’d relish a return to NJPW:
“I’ve been lucky enough when I was over there to work with just about everybody they have, obviously I’d love if that opportunity came about as far as representing AEW,” said Archer “To go back and fight for the IWGP Heavyweight Title, I think that’d be really cool. I’m a crossover person, as everybody can see I’m wearing my Suzuki-gun shirt right now, and Minoru Suzuki is someone that I think many times people, especially once that ‘Forbidden Door’ was opened, that they’d like to see show up in AEW.”
A former IWGP US Champion, Archer reinvented himself in NJPW after spells in TNA and WWE. Now a proud member of AEW’s roster, Archer admires their approach to cross-promotion:
“I think that’s one of the really cool aspects of what’s going on with AEW right now, is our willingness to work with New Japan, our willingness to work with IMPACT Wrestling, and who knows who else that might show up from wherever else in the industry, because I think that’s what makes it fun for the fanbase, and I think that’s what’s helping wrestling survive in this crazy world, is those fun aspects that kind of didn’t really exist before and now are there.”
