Jimmy Uso Returns To WWE On SmackDown

He hasn't wrestled in over a year

More than a year after his last match, and many months since his last company appearance of any sort, Jimmy Uso made his return to WWE on Friday night's Throwback edition of SmackDown.

Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman opened the show by eulogizing the career of Daniel Bryan, who had been banished from SmackDown after losing to Universal champion Reigns on last week's program.

Reigns mentioned that Bryan would still be here if he were willing to acknowledge him as "head of the table". Since he wouldn't, Reigns found someone who would, and introducing the returning Jimmy Uso.

Jimmy embraced both Jey and Reigns, before the angle continued with Cesaro taking up for the banished Bryan.

Jimmy sustained a torn ACL in the triple threat ladder match at WrestleMania 36, over 13 months ago. The long-term injury opened things up for Jey to become a singles star for a time, feuding with Reigns last autumn, before ultimately joining his cause.

Jimmy appeared at last year's Clash of Champions and Hell in a Cell, getting involved in the matches between his brother and Reigns.
