After months of expectation, Joe Hendry has officially signed with WWE.
Fightful Select has reported that Hendry is now a WWE Superstar and he is effectively full-time with the company. Hendry had been signed with TNA Wrestling but he had not performed for the company since the post-Victory Road tapings of IMPACT when he put over Eric Young.
WWE had been wanting to sign Hendry for some time and Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels wanted WWE to try and buy out the 37-year-old's contract.
Hendry's contract with TNA was due to expire at the end of the year, PWInsider has reported, and the plan had been for Hendry to sign with WWE when his TNA deal ended. Fightful added that Hendry used representation to navigate his exit from TNA to WWE.
Joe Hendry is listed as a member of the WWE NXT roster. He is currently involved in a feud alongside Thea Hail against Ethan Page and Chelsea Green.
Hendry had been a part of TNA since 2022, and he had established himself as one of the most popular members of the roster in recent years. He began making appearances on WWE TV in 2024 as part of the TNA-WWE working relationship.
