Joe Tessitore To Make WWE Commentary Debut On September 2 Edition Of Raw, Michael Cole Moving To SmackDown

Joe Tessitore to make his WWE commentary debut soon

Joe Tessitore will be making his debut at the WWE announce table in the near future.

In an interview with Michael Cole on the SummerSlam 2024 pre-show, it was revealed that Joe Tessitore will make his WWE commentary debut on the September 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, which will be the post-Bash in Berlin edition of WWE's flagship show. It was also revealed that Michael Cole will move to Friday Night SmackDown.

This would suggest Joe Tessitore's commentary partner will be Pat McAfee as part of a two-man booth while Cole will head a three-man booth with Corey Graves and Wade Barrett, although that has not been confirmed by WWE.

It was announced in early July that Joe Tessitore was joining WWE as a commentator. Tessitore will also remain at ESPN and ABC where he does commentary on college football and for Top Rank boxing.

Tessitore joined WWE following a strong relationship with WWE President Nick Khan and Tessitore was Khan's first client during his super agent days. Tessitore also has a good relationship with Triple H and the ESPN commentator would have worked in the past with WWE Head of Media & Production Lee Fitting on Monday Night Football and college football games.
