Joey Janela Unsure Of His Future With AEW

What does his future hold?

Joey Janela's contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire later this year but The Bad Boy is unsure of his future with the promotion.

Speaking to Brandon F. Walker on Rasslin', Janela noted his AEW contract officially expires on April 30 but he doesn't know what is going to happen with his deal.

"You tell me. I don't even know. I don't know either. I don't even talk to them. Yeah I get a cheque but I don't know what's going on. 4/30 my contract's out. I don't know what the f*ck is going on," Janela said.

The Bad Boy did note he thinks he will remain with the company beyond April 30 and if he doesn't, "I look like a f*cking idiot right now."

Janela previously revealed back in November of 2021 that his contract was due to expire in 2022 and the 32-year-old admitted he had to "step it up" before his deal ends.

The Bad Boy was one of AEW's first signings back in 2019 and while he has remained a major star on the independent wrestling scene, Janela has been relegated to matches on Dark in Tony Khan's promotion and he hasn't performed on AEW TV since May of 2021.
