John Cena Is Slated To Appear In The Upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Movie
Although John Cena is returning to WWE on March 6 for Monday Night Raw ahead of a possible United States Championship match with Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39, his priority over the last few years has been Hollywood, and his résumé is set to expand as he has been recently announced for a brand new role.
John Cena has been revealed to appear in the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” movie, which is set to release in August 2023, in a voice role to play Rocksteady. Seth Rogan revealed this news via Deadline, with Cena joining other notable names in the cast such as Giancarlo Esposito, Ice Cube, Paul Rudd, and Jackie Chan.
Cena’s recent movie and TV roles have seen him appear in The Suicide Squad, the Fast & Furious franchise, and Peacemaker. It should be noted that the role of Rocksteady has been played by professional wrestlers before, as former multi-time world champion Sheamus appeared in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows.”
