GUNTHER Is Open To An Imperium Babyface Turn

GUNTHER Has Commented On A Potential Babyface Turn For Imperium In WWE

GUNTHER is one of the biggest heels in WWE right now, and he is on a roll as the reigning Intercontinental Champion. Since his first day in NXT UK back in 2019, he has been a bad guy, and has remained so until present day. However, he isn’t against an eventual babyface turn down the line, and to shed the otherwise serious aura that he and his Imperium stable upholds.

Speaking to Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, GUNTHER responded to Rosenberg making a comment about Imperium being more relaxed and light-hearted backstage by saying,

"We did it before in different places, not on that big of a stage, obviously, and if it comes natural, it's definitely possible. A lot of people can relate to us and can connect to us. I see it when we walk out anywhere, it's usually the blackout, the music hits, and people get excited and cheer for a second, but then the light goes on and everybody goes, 'ah.' I think it's a great sign and shows that deep down they must respect and appreciated what we do in the ring, but then we get them back to be like, 'they don't look like the guys who would shake hands.' It's a good situation."

For someone as talented as GUNTHER, it is easy to imagine him finding a way to get fans on his side, especially since he is often unmoved and unafraid as a heel, so he would be easy to root for as a hard-nosed babyface.
