John Cena Comments On WWE Future

John Cena last competed in a WWE ring at the 2023 Crown Jewel premium live event, taking on Solo Sikoa in a match which saw him get pummelled with multiple Samoan Spikes and being decisively beaten in a clean result. Cena was emotional after the match, took in a standing ovation, and walked out in what many thought could be his final ever WWE match. 

During last night’s 2023 “best of” recap on Friday Night SmackDown, John Cena offered up some words via a video. He didn’t confirm that a retirement had taken place, but did note that he doesn’t know how long he has left between the ropes. 

"I do not know how much time in the WWE I have left. But I do know in recent times when I returned home, you have always welcomed me."

Cena’s recent comeback to WWE came about due to the Hollywood strikes, with him parting ways with the company again when these strikes came to a close. It isn’t known when, where, or if Cena will be back in a WWE ring.
