John Cena Confirms WWE Return

The Franchise Player didn't specify when, however

John Cena has confirmed a return to WWE is in his future.

The iconic superstar hasn't been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 36 last year but, amid reports Cena is set to comeback into the WWE fold in time for this year's SummerSlam for a big Universal Championship match with Roman Reigns, The Franchise Player has seemingly admitted a return is on the cards.

However, the Fast & Furious 9 star added that he didn't know when he would be back.

When asked about a rumours of a return to WWE by Jimmy Fallon, he said: "Those rumours are true. I will definitely be back to the WWE, I just don’t know when."

Fallon would then bring up Cena’s Instagram post from last month, when the 16-time World Champion posted a picture of the WWE logo. The post stirred the WWE Universe into believing a return for Cena was imminent.

Cena said: "Yeah, I posted that back in May. I was feeling rather nostalgic about the WWE, and I just wanted to post the logo. Some people took it as I was returning immediately, which is not the case.

"I haven’t had my last match and I can’t wait to have my next match."
