On tonight's Raw, John Cena teased a WrestleMania 34 match with The Undertaker, before announcing that he plans to find a road to 'Mania on SmackDown Live.

While his 'challenge' to 'Taker appeared to be nothing more than a deliberate tease - thereby demonstrating his own feelings of frustration to the fans - it surely seems unlikely that WWE would dangle the notion of such a huge dream match in front of our faces without following through.

Following his challenge, Cena quickly explained that he doesn't make matches, and that despite the undeniably huge nature of such a bout, the power to make it happen does not lie in his hands.

He then changed the subject to SmackDown, stating that his road to WrestleMania runs straight through the blue brand. He announced his intention to appear on SmackDown tomorrow night and do whatever it takes to earn a spot on the New Orleans card.

This very curious promo immediately sparked wild speculation online, which is understandable given the heavily-circulated rumours of another Undertaker return.

The Deadman appeared to retire at the end of last year's WrestleMania. Following a loss to Roman Reigns in the main event of the show, Undertaker left his hat, coat, and gloves in the ring, before appearing to bid farewell to the fans.

Despite what appeared to be a retirement ceremony in all but name, rumours of a showdown with Cena have been circulating for months now.

Cena also appeared at WrestleMania 33, defeating The Miz and Maryse in a mixed-tag match alongside Nikki Bella, before proposing to his partner afterwards.

Undertaker and Cena have competed in a singles match a handful of times in their career, and only once on a pay per view. That bout was at Vengeance 2003, where 'Taker defeated a young Cena on the SmackDown-exclusive show.
