John Cena Teases WWE WrestleMania 40 Appearance

Latest on John Cena and WrestleMania 40

John Cena has teased an appearance at WrestleMania 40.

Appearing on ESPN First Take, Cena said he prefers wearing jorts when talking about WWE's biggest show of the year.

"So it depends. It depends. If we're talking WrestleMania 40 -- crossing my fingers -- I hope the jorts are there. If we're talking First Take, I will do my best to put on a waistcoat for you guys," Cena said.

Cena has not been officially announced for the event but the 16-time world champion is trying to ensure that he is free for WrestleMania 40, which will take place on April 6 and April 7 in Philadelphia. An appearance is dependent on Cena's acting schedule, though.

If he is free, Cena will reportedly "do something fun, short and memorable and with substance."

Cena is currently away from WWE, having completed his latest mini run in November 2023 by putting over Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel. In Hollywood, Cena is one of the stars of Prime Video's 'Ricky Stanicky'. He will begin filming on season two of Peacemaker soon. Cena plays the titular character.
