John Cena To Be Gone From WWE For Much Of 2024

John Cena will be unavailable for the second half of 2024

John Cena won't be able to do much in WWE for much of 2024, according to a new report.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has claimed that Cena will be filming the second season of 'Peacemaker' from June until November 2024 in Atlanta, with shooting on the project currently scheduled to end around Thanksgiving. Cena portrays the titular character in the comedy series and he has portrayed him twice already in 2021's 'The Suicide Squad' and the first season of 'Peacemaker', which was a big hit for DC and Max.

Peacemaker is an anti-hero/villain so committed to achieving peace at any cost that he will kill as many people as he needs to, including innocent women and children.

While he may be gone from WWE for much of the year, John Cena is reportedly planned to make an appearance at WrestleMania 40 along with the likes of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker. What exactly Cena will be doing on the show is unknown but some have speculated he could be involved in the main event of WrestleMania 40 night two in some capacity due to his past rivalry over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship with Roman Reigns.
