John Cena's WWE Royal Rumble 2019 Status Confirmed

: WWE have officially confirmed that Cena will

not

be taking part in the Rumble match due to an ankle injury.

There's a 'WWE Now' Royal Rumble pay-per-view preview taking place on the company's official YouTube channel - and John Cena's status for the Royal Rumble match has been confirmed.

Now we weren't watching at the time, but

are reporting that Mike Rome and Cathy Kelley have confirmed that John Cena will not be in the men's Rumble match.

, Dave Meltzer noted that there are no plans for Cena at WrestleMania 35 currently: "Nothing official has been decided regarding Cena, partially because nobody knows what’s going to happen with Lars Sullivan, who has been told he’s welcome back when he’s ready.”
