John Hennigan More Interested In Dream Matches Than WWE Return

John Hennigan isn't aiming to go back to WWE

After two runs with the company, John Hennigan isn't aiming to return to WWE and he is instead more focused on having dream matches.

Hennigan said on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast

"When I left, it would be the first time, it was never a goal to go back, it was in my head that I would go back one day. It's not really in my head anymore that I need to be back in WWE. If like for it to happen for some reason, sure maybe. The chance to have this handful of dream matches that I haven't had yet. Who knows? [Kenny] Omega, [Jon] Moxley, [Kota] Ibushi, people like that."

Since his WWE release in November 2021, Hennigan has competed for the likes of All Elite Wrestling, AAA, and on the independents, adding to his collection of in-ring names in the process. He has faced Samoa Joe, EI Hijo Del Vikingo, Penta El Zero Miedo, Josh Alexander, The Hardys, and Ninja Mack, among others.

Hennigan recently captured gold too, defeating Davey Richards to win the MLW National Openweight Championship on February 28.
