John Silver Injured During AEW: Dynamite Main Event

He was facing Darby Allin for the TNT Championship

John Silver seems to have sustained a dislocated shoulder during his TNT Championship match with Darby Allin in the main event of AEW: Dynamite.

The injury occurred when The Dark Order member dove over the barricade and landed awkwardly on his shoulder during the match.

Silver would lose the match, as Allin hit Code Red to get the pin and the win, but the two main would show each other respect with a fist-bump at the end of the contest. Allin would then be attacked by Matt Hardy and his followers as the show went off the air.

After Dynamite finished its television broadcast, Allin would take to the microphone to put over Silver, and confirmed that the 29-year-old got injured during their match.

According to fan footage from after the show, Allin said: "I don’t think anybody here knows, but I’m pretty sure you dislocated your shoulder about halfway through that match. But g*ddamn, did you put everything into it! And I’m down to do it anytime again. Thank you, John. Thank you.”

Silver has since confirmed he sustained an injury, taking to social media to write: "Came up short tonight. Shoulder is messed up. Doctor doesn’t think it’s too serious but I’ll keep everyone updated once I know."
