Lince Dorado has announced he will be taking time away from WWE after the passing of his grandfather.
Dorado confirmed his grandfather, Edisberto Barbot, passed away on Tuesday morning due to stage 4 kidney failure and congestive heart failure.
Barbot had only celebrated his 85th birthday on Monday and Dorado, who is signed to the Raw brand, said on social media he would be taking time off to grieve.
Writing on Twitter, Dorado said: "My grandpa has passed this morning. Thank you everyone who has reached out, shared, and donated. I’m devastated and will be taking time off to get my head straight. I love you pop! Thank you everyone."
Dorado has set up a GoFundMe page in support of his widowed grandmother to help with funeral costs, revealing that his grandfather had life insurance policy in 2020, having held it for over 20 years.
Several wrestlers and notable names have donated to the campaign, including $1000 from Cameron Grimes, $1000 from Sarath Ton, $500 from referee Eddie Orengo and $500 from Lince himself.
Dorado was last seen in action on WWE Main Event, beating Akira Tozawa last week.
Everyone at Cultaholic send our condolences to Lince and his family.
