WWE Raw saw Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa reunite
The October 2 edition of WWE Raw saw the long awaited reunion of DIY, as Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa reunited to close the show.
Ciampa had unsuccessfully challenged for Gunther's Intercontinental Championship in Raw’s main event, and found himself on the end of an Imperium beatdown following his loss. As Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser laid on a beating of Ciampa, Johnny Gargano’s music hit, with ‘Johnny Wrestling’ making his first WWE appearance since May as he ran down to clear house.
The pair hit Meeting in the Middle as Raw went off the air, with Gargano and Ciampa embracing after the broadcast ended. It certainly looks like we have the DIY reunion we’ve been asking for since Gargano returned to WWE in 2022.
The pair are former one-time NXT Tag Team Champions, memorably winning the belts from The Revival in a classic at NXT TakeOver Toronto in 2016. The pair would go on to have a heated singles feud that would define the classic black and gold era of NXT, with three NXT Title reigns between the two.
