Johnny Gargano Doesn't Rule Out DIY Reunion
Could DIY reunite in WWE? Johnny Gargano isn’t ruling it out
They were one of the most celebrated tag teams in NXT history, and engaged in the biggest feud of the black and gold brand's glory years, but now that Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are part of WWE’s main roster could #DIY reunite for another run?
Ciampa is currently sidelined with injury, and Gargano was asked of his former partner’s whereabouts during an interview with Catch Club, prompting questions of a possible #DIY return:
"You never know. I think as long as me and Tommaso Ciampa are in the same company, or in wrestling in general, we'll always be linked together," Gargano said. "There's always that idea of what would happen if DIY was on 'Raw' or 'SmackDown' and the dream matches that could come of that."
First forming in NXT in 2015, #DIY would go on to have one reign as NXT Tag Team Champions, before Ciampa turned on Gargano and launched a rivalry that would come to define the promotion.
The team would reunite in 2019, and last wrestled together during the 2021 WarGames match, teaming with Pete Dunne and LA Knight against Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Grayson Waller & Tony D’Angelo.
