Kota Ibushi Vs. Joey Janela Set For Spring Break 7

Joey Janela has finally revealed who he will be facing at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7 on March 31, with the GCW standout set to take on former NJPW main eventer Kota Ibushi.

Set for California WrestleMania weekend, Janela made the announcement on Twitter, writing the following:

“My whole career has been dedicated to being selfless, young guys & gals or older that are giving it or gave it all to this business & getting them the respect they deserve! But it’s my TIME! I will put on the best performance of career! For those that support me, Thank you.”

Ibushi has been out of action since October 2021 with a severe shoulder injury, but it looks like the inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is ready to go, and after nearly 18 months away from the ring, Ibushi will make his in-ring return one night earlier, when he takes on "Speedball" Mike Bailey at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport on March 30.

This will be a first-time meeting of Janela and Ibushi.
