Johnny Gargano Unsure Of His Place In The Wrestling World

After seven years of performing on WWE TV, Johnny Gargano left NXT in December of 2021 after his contract with the company expired.

Gargano is still a free agent and he and wife Candice LeRae recently welcomed their first child, Quill, into the world.

Speaking about his wrestling future on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Gargano admitted he is unsure of his place within the industry. 

"That's the thing, so wrestling's out of my life right now and there's so much uncertainty in my mind in the wrestling world because I don't really know where I fit in. I don't know where I wanna be, what I wanna do and with wrestling being out of my life, that is my one identity. I'm Johnny Gargano the wrestler. Yeah, I'm Johnny Wrestling. If I'm not Johnny Wrestling then who am I? So I'm kind of having an existential crisis in itself to where I'm going through that," Gargano said. 

Several of Gargano's former NXT colleagues have since signed with All Elite Wrestling but reports in early March noted the NXT Triple Crown Champion wouldn't be joining the promotion anytime soon.
