Jon Jones Thinks It's "Inevitable" He Signs With WWE

Another MMA fighter in WWE...

In recent years, it has become more common for MMA fighters to transition to professional wrestling. Matt Riddle began a career in wrestling in 2014 after being released by UFC, Ronda Rousey won the Raw Women's Championship in 2018 and two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez made his debut in AAA in August 2019, before later signing with WWE. Daniel Cormier has also hinted he would be interested in working with WWE after he retires from MMA.

Now, in an interview with Sports Illustrated, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones has said he too would be interested in joining WWE in the future. Jones even went so far as to say "it's inevitable" that he signs with the company.

Jones said: "I think it’s inevitable. I've always respected WWE, and I feel like the sports can be so similar. I have the size and athleticism and the following to transition over really well. To get the opportunity to just show up, even as a special guest, would be a dream come true."
