Jon Moxley Addresses Scrapped AEW Vacation
Jon Moxley on his nixed vacation

Jon Moxley has been ever-present on All Elite Wrestling's programming since the All Out pay-per-view in early September, but that wasn't the original plan.
Moxley was instead scheduled to go on vacation after he dropped the AEW World Championship to CM Punk at All Out and return on the October 18 edition of Dynamite in his hometown of Cincinnati. That vacation was ultimately scrapped, though, something which Moxley discussed with Sports Illustrated.
"I was going to be gone and off TV for six weeks. It wasn't that I needed a vacation. I was feeling good and feeling hot, but it had to do with what we were going to do for a story. Going into All Out, I was thinking, 'After I get through this match, that's it for a while.' I wrestled the match, and we kicked each other's ass. I was happy, Chicago was happy, everybody was happy. I went outside to smoke a cigarette with Eddie [Kingston] in celebration. That vacation lasted about 30 minutes. By the time I went to bed that night, I was pretty sure we were going to pretend that vacation was never going to happen. But it's all good; you just roll with the punches," Moxley said.
The Purveyor of Violence's planned vacation was scrapped following a backstage fight between CM Punk, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Ace Steel after Punk's incendiary post-All Out media scrum. This resulted in all five men being suspended while a third-party investigation is carried out and left AEW without several of their top stars.
Moxley and the likes of Chris Jericho remained on TV and the Blackpool Combat Club member has since regained the AEW World Title. Moxley also signed a new five-year deal with AEW around All Out that will keep him with the promotion through 2027.
