Jon Moxley Pulled From Upcoming Indy Show

Moxley will no longer perform on tomorrow's Wrestling REVOLVER show.

AEW star Jon Moxley has been pulled from an upcoming indie show.

Moxley was scheduled to perform at tomorrow's Wrestling REVOLVER Heat Em Up event, but announced via a video message that he would not be wrestling due to 'circumstances beyond our control'.

It is unsure at this point exactly what issue is preventing the 37-year-old from fulfilling the booking. Moxley will be replaced by Konosuke Takeshita.

His full statement said:

"This is Jon Moxley with some unfortunate news that I wanted you to hear from me. Due to circumstances beyond our control – myself or Wrestling REVOLVER – I will not be able to be in Dayton on August third as planned. But, this is pro wrestling for our generation, by our generation. If there's going to be a replacement for me, it needs to be approved by me. We only accept the best, no substitutions, at Wrestling REVOLVER. So on August third, you are going to get a chance to see one of the greatest wrestlers in the world live and in person, in an environment like nowhere else in Dayton, Ohio – and his name is Takeshita".

Responding to a disappointed fan, REVOLVER did say that they intended to book the planned Moxley versus Gringo Loco match for a future show.

The former AEW World Champion will compete on tonight's episode of Dynamite when he meets Trent Beretta and Penta El Zero Miedo in an Anything Goes Match.

Moxley last wrestled at a DEFY Wrestling show on July 29 (where he defeated Artemis Spencer in the main event).
