Jonathan Gresham has defeated Bandido to reign as the Undisputed Ring of Honor World Champion after defeating the Mexican star at Supercard of Honor 2022.

Gresham and Bandido left nothing on the line as both men pulled out all the stops looking for a win, with Bandido’s manager Chavo Guerrero trying to cheat on his client’s behalf, much to Bandido’s chagrin. Bandido had the referee eject Chavo from ringside, wanting the bout to be based on honour.

‘The Octopus’ took a hell of a beating at times, kicking out of a 21 Plex, before sinking a springboard moonsault and locking in an inescapable roll-up pin for the win and the titles.

Gresham had been reigning as the ROH Original World Champion since Final Battle 2021, with his scheduled title shot at ROH World Champion Bandido cancelled before the show due to Bandido posting a positive COVID result.

Since defeating Jay Lethal for the vacant classic belt, Gresham has defended the title across the Indies, putting the belt on the line at IMPACT Wrestling, GCW, PROGRESS, and TERMINUS amongst others.
