Josh Alexander Calls Out Alex Shelley On IMPACT Wrestling TV
Josh Alexander has returned to IMPACT, and has called out World Champion Alex Shelley
After several months on the injured list, Josh Alexander returned to IMPACT at the close of Slammiversary 2023, with ‘The Walking Weapon’ making his presence felt after Alex Shelley’s successful defence of the IMPACT World Championship against Nick Aldis.
Alexander was in the house for the July 20 edition of IMPACT Wrestling, with Alexander reflecting on his triceps injury, and how he was forced to relinquish his IMPACT World Championship back in March. Whilst on the mic, Alexander revealed he was 100% cleared to compete and called out Shelley, asking if Shelley was ‘good enough’ to beat him. Shelly answered Alexander straight away, with the two cordially agreeing to face-off for the title down the road and see who the better wrestler is.
New X Division Champion Lio Rush then entered the mix, threatening to enact Option C and crush Shelley just like he did Chris Sabin at Slammiversary. X Division number one contender KUSHIDA also arrived to confront Rush, before a Bully Ray distraction allowed Moose and Brian Myers to sneak attack Alexander, Shelley, and KUSHDA.
