IMPACT Wrestling have announced a bumper start to the September 23 edition of IMPACT Wrestling, with X Division Champion Josh Alexander set to relinquish the title and officially invoke Option C.

Alexander announced his intentions to give up the X Division Title for a shot at Christian Cage’s IMPACT World Championship at Bound for Glory, having confronted Cage after his successful defence against Ace Austin at Victory Road on September 19.

The Walking Weapon has held the X Division Title since defeating Ace Austin and TJP at Rebellion on April 25, and is set to be the first Champion to invoke Option C since Brian Cage in 2018.

Only four wrestlers have used the clause in the past, with Austin Aries and Chris Sabin successfully winning the IMPACT World Championship afterwards, whilst Rockstar Spud, and Brian Cage failed in their challenge.

IMPACT have also announced an inter-gender match for September 23, with Chelsea Green set to take on Rohit Raju, following weeks of animosity between Green and Rohit, as well as Shera and Matt Cardona. Former IMPACT World Tag Team Champion David Finlay will also go one on one with Hikuleo following their tag team match at Victory Road.
