Juice Robinson Reportedly Signs New Three-Year Deal With NJPW
Some good news following the revelations about KUSHIDA & Omega today...
Jan 7, 2019
Three days after winning the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship from Cody Rhodes at Wrestle Kingdom 13, Juice Robinson has reportedly signed a new three-year deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Dave Meltzer broke the news on
Wrestling Observer Radio, and also pointed out that there was an interest in Juice from WWE - although, things never got to the stage where WWE actually made their former NXT Superstar an offer to return (Juice appeared as CJ Parker in NXT up until his 2015 departure).
The news will be welcomed by NJPW staff and fans alike who will have been rocked by the news that former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA will both be leaving the promotion (
Kenny says he's just taking a break, while
KUSHIDA will leave indefinitely come the end of the month).
Robinson won his second US Heavyweight title at Wrestle Kingdon on Friday, defeating Cody, the man who ended his first reign after 85 days at Fighting Spirit Unleashed in September.
