Kacy Catanzaro's WWE Name Change Made Official

No more Kacy Catanzaro in WWE

Kacy Catanzaro's name change was made official following Tuesday's edition of NXT.

During a backstage interview that was uploaded after NXT went off the air, it was revealed Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz will team up on next week's NXT to take on Kayden Carter and the newly-named Katana Chance.

Chance addressed the name change within the interview, noting she enjoys "shooting back straight whiskey and letting loose."

"Everyone knows me as Kacy Catanzaro, and that is me. But there are parts of me that people haven't seen -- except maybe Kayden -- where I get to do what I want. And that's like shooting back straight whiskey and letting loose. And Kayden isn't the only one that can party and shake a little something. That is Katana Chance. And that is the energy that I'll be bringing to NXT from now on," Chance said.

It emerged over the weekend that Catanzaro had been given a new in-ring name, with Kay Lee Ray's name also being changed to Alba Fyre.

This follows a memo from Vince McMahon which decreed talent could no longer use their real names or the monikers they used on the independent wrestling scene.
