KAIRI Comments On Potential WWE Return

After a year in World Wonder Ring STARDOM, KAIRI is a free agent once again, she recently revealed, and the former Kairi Sane wants to wrestle in the United States.

This desire could ultimately see KAIRI return to WWE and the former IWGP Women's Champion revealed to WrestlingNews.co that Executive Chairman Vince McMahon told her the door was always open for a WWE return.

"Vince said the door is always open, you're always welcome to come back. If she comes back one day, she will team up with Asuka again, team up with IYO SKY or maybe against IYO SKY, who knows?" KAIRI said through a translator. 

KAIRI also expressed an interest in wrestling in another Royal Rumble, noting it was her favourite pay-per-view of the year. KAIRI was previously involved in the Royal Rumble in 2018, 2019, and 2020. 

KAIRI signed with WWE in 2017, being revealed as Kairi Sane soon after. She went on to win the Mae Young Classic and had one reign as NXT Women's Champion before heading to the main roster. There, she experienced further success, capturing the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles with Kabuki Warriors partner Asuka. 

KAIRI headed back to Japan in 2020, serving as a WWE ambassador in the country until her contract expired in December 2021.
