Kairi Sane hadn't appeared on WWE TV for over a month after she was tossed into the steel steps by Nia Jax on the June 1 episode of Monday Night Raw. The Pirate Princess suffered a deep cut to the head from the incident which kept her out of action.
Sane returned to the red brand last night as she went one on one with Sasha Banks. The Kabuki Warrior looked to be in good form and had the match won after she locked in a Modified Boston Crab, but Bayley charged into the ring before Sasha could tap out to draw the disqualification.
As a result of the interference, The Kabuki Warriors will challenge Bayley and Sasha Banks for the Women's Tag Team Championships on next week's episode of Raw.
This may well be Sane's final match inside a WWE ring as Dave Meltzer recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The Pirate Princess is returning to Japan soon to be with her husband. The company has known about Kairi's plans since at least May and even planned a career-ending injury angle before she was legitimately hurt.
