Kairi Sane Suffers Injury On WWE Raw

Kairi Sane sustained an injury on the September 2 edition of Monday Night Raw. 

Sane teamed with Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY in a number one contender's match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against The Unholy Union of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. 

Disaster struck down the stretch, however, as Sane went for a dive to the outside. While Sane was in mid-air, Isla Dawn pulled Bianca Belair, who was at ringside with Jade Cargill, in the way but Dawn pulled Belair too far and Sane sailed over her, with Sane's face smashing off the corner of the announce table. 

The spot ultimately left IYO SKY alone and The Unholy Union won the match following their tag team finisher. 

Kairi Sane has since revealed that she received several stitches for a gruesome cut to her eyelid. Whether Sane will miss any time while she recovers from the injury is unknown.

Kairi Sane is currently in her second run with WWE, having returned to the company in late 2023. She is a part of Damage CTRL with IYO SKY, Asuka, and Dakota Kai and the faction turned babyface in recent months.
