Karl Anderson isn't vacating the NEVER Openweight Title.

The Bullet Club member has worked NJPW dates in 2022 and Anderson has been booked for the Battle Autumn show on November 5 to defend his NEVER Openweight Championship against Hikuleo. Machine Gun KA is double booked for November 5, however, and he will team with The OC against The Judgment Day at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

New Japan have announced that Anderson will be stripped of the NEVER Openweight Title if he does not compete at Battle Autumn. In a response, Hikuleo noted Anderson being stripped of the title was not necessary as he was happy to wait for the champion to return to NJPW.

KA has since replied to Hikuleo, though, claiming that he won't be vacating his NEVER Openweight Title.

Anderson tweeted: "I'm not vacating anything. I'm the greatest #NeverOpenweightChampion of all time. I'll defend it on my time...get with my booking agent @The_BigLG. I'll see ya then @Hiku_Leo. That's #TooSweet."

Despite the storyline around Battle Autumn, Anderson is reportedly expected to work additional NJPW dates. Relations between WWE, NJPW, and The Good Brothers are also said to be "fine."
