Karl Anderson To Miss NJPW Battle Autumn

No Karl Anderson at NJPW Battle Autumn

The NEVER Openweight Title will not be on the line at Battle Autumn on November 5, according to champion Karl Anderson.

Machine Gun KA has been NEVER Openweight Champion since defeating Tama Tonga for the gold at Dominion and he was booked to defend the title against Hikuleo at Battle Autumn in Osaka, Japan. Anderson was double booked for November 5, though, as The Good Brothers recently returned to WWE and they are scheduled to team with AJ Styles against Judgment Day at Crown Jewel.

The 12-hour flight seemingly made it impossible for Anderson to make both dates and he has now announced on Twitter that he won't be appearing at Battle Autumn.

"You guys announced 'Bright Lights' 'The Machine Gun' Karl Anderson for a match November 5. Guess what, we're a little double booked because you didn't run it through me. So, he ain't coming. We're not coming unless it's on our time," Luke Gallows said.

"New Japan Pro-Wrestling, I love what you've done for the Good Brothers through these years. I am the greatest NEVER Openweight Champion of all time. I only work when the lights are bright. November 5, we're not coming. We'll come on our time. The Machine Gun will tell you when I'm coming to defend my championship," Anderson added.

Anderson and Gallows had worked NJPW dates prior to their WWE returns earlier this month. KA recently noted that he plans to compete for NJPW until at least Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4.
