Report: WWE NXT To Run Event Same Night As ROH Final Battle

WWE NXT to run head-to-head with ROH?

Ring of Honor recently announced their next PPV event, with Final Battle 2022 set for December 10. However, it seems they may have some competition, with reports claiming that WWE NXT are also set to promote an event on December 10.

Courtesy of Fightful Select, NXT talent were reportedly informed of plans for an NXT premium live event on December 10, with rumours suggesting this could tie in with the ‘NXT Deadline’ event trademark that was recently filed by WWE. Whilst no names or details have as yet been confirmed, NXT staff are believed to have been told to ‘keep the date open’.

The report also states that NXT could announce this upcoming show during Halloween Havoc on October 22, and it will likely take place at the WWE Performance Center.

Despite the provisional event booked for the same day as Final Battle, there’s a chance the two may not directly clash, with ROH already announcing an early 4 pm ET/9 pm GMT start time for their PPV, to avoid a clash with UFC 282 the same day.

WWE NXT recently ran Worlds Collide on the same day as AEW All Out 2022, but the two avoided a direct clash due to time differences.
