Karl Fredericks Debuts At WWE NXT House Show

Karl Fredericks makes his WWE debut

After signing with the company earlier this month, Karl Fredericks made his WWE NXT debut at the developmental brand's house show from Fort Pierce, Florida on Friday, January 20.

Footage from WWE NXT's Instagram account revealed Fredericks confronted Axiom inside the squared circle and he was about to speak before he just threw down the microphone and headed backstage. When Fredericks will make his NXT TV debut is currently unknown.

It emerged that Fredericks had signed with WWE and reported to the Performance Center on January 10, a few months after he had a private tryout with the company. The 32-year-old had previously been a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling from 2018 until his exit in the summer of 2022. He looked set to be a major star for the promotion after winning the Young Lion Cup in 2019 but he opted not to renew his contract after spending much of the COVID period of pro wrestling competing on NJPW STRONG.

Fredericks might not be the only former NJPW talent to show up in WWE this year, with the organisation said to also be interested in bringing in Jay White and Hikuleo. The two talents will clash in a Loser Leaves Japan Match on February 11.
