Kazuchika Okada Not Planning To Wrestle For Another Promotion For A Long Time

Kazuchika Okada on wrestling for other promotions

Kazuchika Okada has been a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling since 2007 and he doesn't plan to leave the promotion anytime soon.

After being asked by NJPW if he had been watching New Japan talents in other promotions, Okada admitted he hadn't and noted he plans to remain with NJPW for a long time.

"Not really, no. I think that NJPW is the gold standard, so I think what we want is for other wrestlers from outside to come here and see what it's like to compete against the best. When you look down the line, NJPW wrestlers are being called to these other places, because we are the best, so we have to prove to the world that we are still number one by having the reverse happen. The only thing I will say is that you won't see me go elsewhere for a long period - I'll always be representing New Japan," Okada stated.

The Rainmaker remains New Japan's top star - a spot which he has held since 2016. He will challenge Jay White for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4.
