Keith Lee Still Not Cleared For AEW Return

Keith Lee has been out of action for the whole of 2024 but he seemingly won't be returning in the near future.

Fightful Select has reported the former AEW World Tag Team Champion has still not been cleared to make a return due to an undisclosed medical issue. Lee remains on the AEW roster, though, and he is still under contract with the promotion. 

Lee has been out of action since December 2023, with a singles match against Swerve Strickland at Worlds End being scrapped only hours before the show after the former WWE NXT Champion was not cleared to perform. Lee noted he had been working with an injury he suffered at Grand Slam 2022 but the issue eventually worsened and he underwent double surgery in early 2024. 

Keith Lee has been signed to All Elite Wrestling since early 2022 and he has wrestled in both AEW and Ring of Honor, including unsuccessfully challenging Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship. 

Keith Lee noted back in May 2024 that he was "getting things handled" with the issues that were keeping him on the shelf.
