Kelly Klein Files Lawsuit Against ROH & Sinclair Broadcasting
The former Women of Honor Champion has filed an Employment Discrimination lawsuit
Former Ring of Honor star Kelly Klein has filed an Employment Discrimination lawsuit against ROH, and parent company Sinclair Broadcasting.
Klein filed the 28-page lawsuit against ROH and Sinclair on February 24, 2021. According to court documents first reported by HeelByNature.com, the document outlines the following complaints:
• Breach of Implied Contract
• Unpaid Royalties
• Violation of State and Federal Equal Pay Acts, and Abusive Discharge
• Discrimination and Harassment, and Unsafe Work Environment
The lawsuit also named the following parties as plaintiffs:
• Greg Gilliand - General Manager Of ROH
• Hunter ‘Delirious’ Johnston - booker, creative director, senior producer and/or head trainer at the Baltimore dojo training program for ROH
• Joe Koff - Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President of Training and Development for ROH
• Jamar Shipman (Jay Lethal)
According to the complaint, Klein alleges her Ring Of Honor contract was terminated on December 31, 2019 for the following reasons:
“Plaintiff alleges that the Defendants terminated her contract as of December 31, 2019, because of her complaints regarding the disparate pay for WHO female wrestlers, the lack of safety and medical protocols after Plaintiff suffered the concussion in October of 2019, and the sexual harassment at ROH.”
