Report: More Details On IMPACT Wrestling's Plans For Sammy Guevara

Embedded in the X-Division Title picture

To continue on from his departure from The Inner Circle, Sammy Guevara was scheduled to work IMPACT Wrestling's most recent tapings and feature in a short storyline on Tuesday nights. Guevara was ultimately sent home after arriving in Nashville, though, after he voiced concerns about the agreed-upon creative and reportedly pitched to win the X-Division Title.

Dave Meltzer reported details about IMPACT Wrestling's plans for Guevara in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The Spanish God was scheduled to lose a three-way against Ace Austin and Chris Bey and suffer a beatdown at the tapings. He would have then won his final IMPACT match before suffering another post-match attack which he wouldn't have exacted revenge for.

Much of IMPACT's plans for Guevara were used by Black Taurus instead and this week's show suggests the former Inner Circle member would have won a six-man tag team match with Chris Bey and Ace Austin against Trey Miguel, Willie Mack and Josh Alexander. He would have then failed to earn a shot at the X-Division Title after losing a three-way also featuring Bey and Austin.

Following on from the news that Black Taurus used much of Guevara's creative at the tapings, Fightful Select also noted The Spanish God wasn't scheduled to join DECAY.
