Ken Shamrock recently revealed that he was open to a WWE return, with the former Intercontinental Champion wanting to referee the upcoming Fight Pit match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules 2022.

Shamrock was later asked on Twitter who would he pick from current and past WWE to face inside the fight pit itself, with the UFC legend simply replying “Kurt Angle or Brock”.

The upcoming Fight Pit match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins will be the third in WWE history, and the first on the main roster, with NXT originally promoting the bout as a Timothy Thatcher speciality gimmick.

The Fight Pit match itself is similar to the Lion’s Den match, Shamrock’s speciality during his run in the Attitude Era, with ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ defeating Owen Hart and Steve Blackman in the structure.

A former member of the villainous Corporation, Shamrock wrestled for WWE from 1997 to 1999 before resuming his MMA career. He later wrestled for NJPW and TNA, where he reigned as the first ever TNA/NWA World Champion in 2002.
