Kenny Omega Comments On Jade Cargill Leaving AEW For WWE
Kenny Omega has given his thoughts on Jade Cargill’s move to WWE
WWE officially revealed this week that they have signed former All Elite Wrestling TBS Champion Jade Cargill to a deal, with Cargill becoming the second major name to join the company from AEW.
Some took issue with current AEW talents publicly wishing Cargill luck on her next career move, with Ricky Starks in particular drawing some ire for his social media post about Cargill. AEW EVP Kenny Omega has given his thoughts on the matter, posting the following on Twitter/X:
“This may be news to a lot of fans out there, but when one wrestler goes from one company to another, we tend to always wish them the best and cheer for them while they embark on their new journey. Genuinely. It’s embarrassing and shameful that some fans aren’t capable of the same,” wrote Omega.
The reaction in some parts to Cargill’s move has played in to the tribalistic nature of some WWE and AEW fans, with the discourse on social media sites such as X and Instagram often escalating to what many consider ridiculous levels.
