Kenny Omega Out Of Action "Indefinitely"

Kenny Omega delivered some devastating news on social media yesterday, posting a photo from a hospital bed and revealing that he is out of action ‘indefinitely’ from AEW. 

The post read, “I can’t really sugar coat this. I’m out indefinitely. I tried to keep pushing past the pain for as long as I could until it became too much. Luckily doctors caught me when they did. I’ll be here so in the mean time, please enjoy wrestling!”

It was later reported from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful on X that Omega had been diagnosed with diverticulitis. It was noted that ahead of his match with Ethan Page on AEW Collision, Omega had been ill but still worked through that to deliver promos and the match, seeking medical assistance straight after. 

Omega was scheduled to team with Golden Jets tag team partner Chris Jericho to take on Ricky Starks & Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at the Worlds End PPV. It looks as though changes will be announced for this match given the nature of Omega’s status.
