Kenny Omega Reacts To Major Heel Turn On AEW Dynamite

Kenny Omega on Don Callis' betrayal in the main event of AEW Dynamite

Kenny Omega shouldn't trust his family.

The Best Bout Machine faced Jon Moxley once again in an All Elite Wrestling ring in the main event of Dynamite on May 10, this time inside a steel cage. After a gruelling contest, Omega had the match won after he connected with a V-Trigger and One-Winged Angel. As the official counted the pin, though, Don Callis suddenly stabbed Omega with a screwdriver, handing the victory to Jon Moxley as Bryan Danielson laughed on commentary.

Following Dynamite, Omega was helped to the back by The Young Bucks and Callis' betrayal has left the former AEW World Champion with trust issues, as he told Lexy Nair"Where's Don? Where's Don? If I can't trust the Bucks, if I can't trust my family, who can I trust? Who can I trust?"

Callis' heel turn has been teased in recent weeks and the turn comes after Omega's trust in The Young Bucks has been weakened. Matt Jackson recently ate the last slice of Omega's peanut butter cheesecake without asking and The Cleaner also wasn't completely happy with the decision to accept Konosuke Takeshita into The Elite.

Callis' betrayal looks to be part of a wider plan as he later issued a "no comment" response after being questioned about his turn on Omega. Callis ran past Alex Marvez while on the phone, fuelling speculation about who the former IMPACT Executive Vice President was speaking to.
