Kenny Omega, Young Bucks Win AEW Trios Tag Tournament Final

The Elite claim the belts

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are the first-ever AEW Trios Tag Team champions, defeating "Hangman" Adam Page, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver in the tournament final at All Out on Sunday night in Chicago.

Late in the match, Silver had almost put away Omega with several pinning attempts and was able to hold Omega in position for Page to attempt a Buckshot Lariat. Page tried the move, but Omega ducked and Page ended up wiping Silver out. Matt Jackson then incapacitated Page as Omega pinned the unconscious Silver to win.

The win gives Omega his third different belt in AEW, having previously held the World and Tag Team titles (the latter with Page). For The Bucks, it's their second different belt in AEW, after reigning twice previously as Tag Team champions.

The AEW Trios titles were officially announced on the July 27 Dynamite, and an eight team tournament was instituted to crown the first champions. Omega and The Bucks defeated La Faccion Ingobernable in the quarterfinals, and Will Ospreay and Aussie Open in the semis.
