Toni Storm Becomes Interim AEW Women's World Champion At All Out

Storm wins a four-way bout to claim the belt

Toni Storm has become the interim AEW Women's champion, after defeating Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida in a four way match at All Out on Sunday night in Chicago.

Late in the match, Hayter had Shida pinned, but Baker pulled referee Paul Turner out of the ring. Hayter expressed anger at her "friend" for doing that, only to be spun around and piledriven by Storm. Baker threw Storm to the floor and tried to steal the pin on Hayter, but Hayter got her shoulder up. Storm returned to the ring, hit Baker with a leaping DDT, and then hit Hayter with another, pinning Hayter to win.

The win gives Storm her first championship of any sort in AEW. She debuted on the March 30 Dynamite, taking part in the women's Owen Hart Cup.

The match came about after AEW Women's champion Thunder Rosa was deemed unable to compete due to a back injury. Once cleared to return, Rosa will likely face Storm, or whomever the interim champion ends up being, to determine an undisputed champion.
