Kevin Owens Returning To WWE NXT

Kevin Owens back on WWE NXT

Kevin Owens is heading back to WWE NXT.

The Prizefighter revealed on Twitter today that he had been invited to tonight's edition of NXT by Shawn Michaels to moderate a confrontation between Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, and JD McDonagh. Owens noted he will do his best to keep order but if fists are thrown he will lose it and presumably dish out several Stunners.

The confrontation comes ahead of Halloween Havoc on Saturday, October 22 where Breakker will defend the NXT Championship against McDonagh and Dragunov in a Triple Threat.

NXT will also go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite for the first time since April 2021 and WWE are reportedly determined to beat Tony Khan's flagship show in the ratings. The company have been loading up tonight's NXT card with main roster talents, including Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez, and The O.C.

Tonight will be Owens' first appearance in NXT since WarGames 2019 when he helped Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, and Dominik Dijakovic defeat The Undisputed ERA. The former Universal Champion was set to make a full-time return to the brand but Vince McMahon changed his mind.

Owens also began his WWE career in NXT and he is a former NXT Champion.
