Kevin Owens Still Can't Believe He Headlined WWE WrestleMania 38

Kevin Owens gave his thoughts on main eventing WWE WrestleMania 38 with Steve Austin.

Speaking on After the Bell with Corey Graves, WWE Superstar Kevin Owens gave his thoughts on headlining WrestleMania 38.

Owens competed in the main event of night one, taking on 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in an official match - a segment many initially thought would simply be a brawl or confrontation. It was Austin's first match since his in-ring retirement in 2003.

Owens admitted that he still can't believe the match actually happened, stating:

"Well, it's all downhill from here, really. [...] I say that with the most optimistic point of view I can have, I mean that in a good way. It was really unbelievable, it's still unbelievable. Sometimes I'll have my moments where I'm not doing anything, I'm just kind of sitting around and I'll just pull it up on my phone and I'll specifically watch the moment where the ref rings the bell, and I still can't believe it happened. It's really hard to process what happened, honestly. It's hard to put into words."

Despite losing the match, it's clear that Owens believes it to be possibly the biggest highlight of his career - no mean feat given his acclaimed run on the independent scene, reigns with the NXT and WWE Universal titles, and array of fantastic matches.
