Kevin Owens "Suspended" On WWE SmackDown

Kevin Owens had a busy time on Friday Night SmackDown last night, as he stepped in for new father Corey Graves on commentary, after his wife Carmella had given birth. Owens was granted the role by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, but under one condition - he was banned from getting physically involved, and if he did, he would receive a suspension. 

For the most part, things were going smoothly for Owens, who was a fresh addition to the SmackDown commentary booth. Owens’ current rival, Grayson Waller, was on the losing side of a match against LA Knight on SmackDown, which led to Owens poking a lot of fun at both Waller and Austin Theory in the aftermath. The two heels approached Owens and poured water over him and threw a bottle at fellow commentator Kevin Patrick. This provocation was enough for Owens to unload an attack on the two. 

Aldis would follow this up by handing Owens a storyline suspension, though it isn’t clear for how long and it isn’t known as of yet if Owens will be off TV as a result of it.
